Cranford

Cranford

Cranford, by Elizabeth Gaskell and adapted by Martyn Coleman, played from Thursday 9 – Saturday 11 October 2014 at Knowle Village Hall.

Set in the early 1830s, this gentle comedy brings to life the ladies of Cranford, their enduring friendship and their love of gossip. A visit by the widow of a Scottish peer begins a chain of events that sparks a small revolution in the sleepy village of Cranford. Will their quiet lives ever be the same again?
